Alex Quinones is an engineer at Retro Studios. Quinones engineered all three games in the Prime Series, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (and its New Play Control! port) and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, as well as the Metroid Prime Trilogy compilation. In the latter, he is credited as Alexander Quinones. Quinones was still working for Retro as of their latest game, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Prior to the Prime series, Quinones was a programmer for Madden NFL 99 and 2001 at EA Tiburon.

According to Jack Mathews, either Quinones or Steve McCrea created the PAS4 format inside ANCS, a set of animation files in Prime.[1]
