Alimbic Datashades are concentrated packets of data spread throughout the Tetra Galaxy, including the Alimbic Cluster explored in Metroid Prime Hunters. Highly resistant to tampering, the Datashades are capable of retaining their data integrity almost indefinitely and can be read even with equipment that is otherwise unable to decipher the Alimbics' language, such as Samus Aran's Scan Visor. Alimbic Datashades are invisible to the Combat Visor, and will open up when viewed in the Scan Visor's special Sight Window.
