Area 2, originally known as Phase 3 is an area on SR388. It is the third area in Metroid II: Return of Samus and Metroid: Samus Returns. This area is another Chozo temple, and contains the optional miniboss Arachnus. In Samus Returns, the area has been turned into what resembles a hydroelectric power station with waterfalls in the background. It also features a superheated area and Taramarga biomasses that block certain doors.
