Bioenergy Production is a room in the Agon Wastes. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Description[]

Bioenergy Production contains a power storage racks system, with three types of racks codenamed Alpha, Delta and Gamma; Samus must first scan a panel to bring the racks online, and then she must scan the individual configuration panels for the racks to stack them into a staircase, allowing her to progress. On later visits, the rack system may be set into another configuration; scanning another console can reset it to the last recorded position. A scan in the room mentions these racks were played with by two Space Pirate units, who were placed on low rations as a consequence.

There is a Spider Ball Track on the wall, using it leads to a Green Hatch.

The Dark Aetherian version of this room is the Phazon Site.

Trivia[]

  • In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc, the computer terminal for the storage racks display a much different symbol, one resembling the terminals from Metroid Prime.
  • In the GameCube version, it is possible for Samus to destroy the two Pirate Aerotroopers without triggering the Door lock. If triggered after their destruction, the music will play regardless until exiting the room or another track is loaded.
  • If the two Aerotroopers are somehow skipped and Samus visits this room after acquiring the Dark Beam, the Aerotroopers will fight alongside the Tallon Metroids within this room. The Tallon Metroids can also move the Pirate Aerotroopers during the former's energy draining attack if the latter has not taken into flight.
  • The reason for this is likely because Metroids were never programmed to attack Aerotroopers at all, scarcely appearing within the same room as them. This behavior is also true within the Research Core in Metroid Prime.
