Bladepod

A Bladepod is a type of Ing that doesn't serve a combat role, they are simply a part of Dark Aether's fauna. They are used to store ammunition and health items for the Ing forces' personal use in the war against the Luminoth. It has wrapped its body around an item and has become imobile. It must rely on other Ing to protect it. If Samus defeats it, an item might appear. Like all Ing it is vulnerable to the Light Beam. They can be found in Dark Agon and the Sky Temple Grounds.

These Ing morph their bodies around useful items to protect them. They rely on larger Ing for protection, as they have no way of fending off enemies. Damage from all weapons will harm them, but light-based weapons are superior.
