Jet boots recovery

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Zero Suit Samus has a new up recovery move known as Boost Kick. Replacing her Plasma Wire move from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Samus makes use of her new Jet Boots to perform a more reliable recovery. Samus performs a rising kick, and when used against opponents, Samus will ascend while damaging them and then finish with a kick, similar to Wolf's Fire Wolf.

This move, unlike Plasma Wire, puts Samus into a "helpless" status, in which she flashes as she falls, unable to move until she lands (unless attacked). The move is somewhat difficult to land perfectly, but very powerful for incapacitating and launching opponents. Boost Kick has two variants, Impact and Lateral, which can be used by customising her character.

Description

"Rise into the air, striking multiple times, and then finish with a spinning kick." The move does 13% in all.
Lateral Kick
"Lift opponents into the air at an angle, and then dash forward with a spinning kick." The upward kick does 11% on the way up, and 16% with the finish. It is more of a risky move.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Official Game Guide

"The main recovery moves for Zero Suit Samus are her Boost Kick and Flip Jump. Boost Kick is her vertical recovery tool, attacking on the way up. You can angle it a little to the left or right during input, and Zero Suit Samus will be in a fall state when it completes. For horizontal recovery, Flip Jump is her best option. If you do Flip Jump by itself, Zero Suit Samus will not be in a fall state. If you extend Flip Jump by hitting the Special button again to do the second kick, however, Zero Suit Samus takes a long time to recover. Don’t forget that Zero Suit Samus has a grapple and Plasma Whip to recover the edge horizontally as well."
