Bryyo Lore Locks

Grand Court

Bryyo Lore Locks (as named in the game's internal files) are an ancient locking system used to guard certain Bryyo Data entries in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. A Reptilicus invention, the locks take the shape of a series of squares with circular indents in them. The largest of these circles is in the center, and glows with red light. To deactivate the mechanism, Samus must shoot at the red part, and then at three smaller red circles that appear in other (random) indents. These must be shot in succession to unlock the puzzle or else it will undo itself. When the puzzle is unlocked, the Event Jingle will play. These locks were placed on certain entries in the quest of the prophetess to disseminate the final words of the last Lord of Science before both met their deaths at the hands of the Primals.

The following five entries are guarded by these Locks: "Age of Science" in Grand Court, "Victory" in Hall of the Golems, "Struggle of Exiles" in Burrow, "Prophecy" in Refinery Access and "The Hunted" in Jungle Generator. Why the Locks are featured on these specific entries and not the rest are unknown.
