"Bubble Mountain" is an unofficial term for a large room of Norfair in Super Metroid. Hence the name it is comprised of green bubble-like material in a mountain-like formation. It has seven Doors, the two highest of which are Green Hatches. Bubble Mountain serves as a junction between rooms of Norfair, including a Save Station, a corridor connecting to the Frog Speedway, and another corridor leading to the Speed Booster. A small number of Grapple Points exist on the ceiling, although they become superfluous with the Space Jump.
- Missile Tank
- In a small chamber near the bottom right of the room, accessible through a small shaft with platforms made of Bomb Blocks. The Tank is on the left of the chamber, suspended above some spikes.
- Certain parts of Norfair in Metroid: Zero Mission have been updated to use a similar bubble texture as this room.
- The Norfair stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U features what appears to be Bubble Mountain in the background.
- Metroid uses the bubble texture in two pallets, purple and green for vertical shafts.
