Carlos Zarzuela Sánchez is a game designer at MercurySteam. Sánchez joined the company in May 2009 as a quality assurance tester, and became a designer in November 2010. He was an additional designer on Metroid: Samus Returns from September 2015 onward, and designed the interface of Raiders of the Broken Planet. As a tester, he debugged Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, later designing and assisting with the writing of its spinoff and sequel. Stylized artwork of Sánchez and other MercurySteam staff can be unlocked in the original Lords of Shadow.
