Chozodia

Chozodia was the main temple on the planet Zebes. It was the main place of ritual by the Chozo. After the Zebesian Space Pirates attacked the planet, Chozodia was left in ruins and not examined by any sentient beings for a long time. When Samus Aran returned to the planet to destroy Mother Brain, Chozodia was explored by her. It was also used as the landing spot for the Space Pirate Mothership. It only appeared in Metroid: Zero Mission.
Chozodia was a major temple on Zebes. There were copious amounts of heiroglyphs, including one that attacks Samus, of Chozo in poses similar to that of the ancient Egyptian heiroglyphs of Earth. The Power Bomb upgrade was located in this area prior to its theft by Space Pirates. The statue holding the upgrade was a Chozo Statue representing Chac Mool, an ancient Mayan statue holding a plate on its hands. This has led many fans to believe it is a female Chozo.

- A remix of the Wrecked Ship theme is heard near the beginning of this area, when Samus first secretly enters with only her Zero Suit. A different version of the same theme can also be heard in the underground sections of Crateria in Metroid Zero Mission. Developers however firmly stated that Chozodia and the Wrecked Ship are seperate ships, citing the area in Crateria that appears to be the outside/inside of the Wrecked Ship.
