The current title is from the game's internal data.

Crash-Ship-MAE (as named internally) is an ambience in Metroid Prime. It is heard upon first entering the downed Frigate Orpheon on Tallon IV, in Main Ventilation Shaft Sections A, B and C. The theme is more atmospheric than the Crashed Ship theme that plays in most of the wreckage's rooms. The theme consists of light percussion and other synthesized instruments.

Crash-Ship-MAE was composed by Kenji Yamamoto, and is one of the few themes from Prime that is not included in the Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks.

The theme can be heard here.

Trivia[]

  • It should be noted that "mae" (?) is Japanese for "before", appropriate since this theme leads into the Crashed Ship theme. This is a convention in at least two other song titles that appear in the sequel to Prime: Boss Mae and darksamus-mae, as well as Rundas-mae from the third game.
