The Cretaphid v3 is the third variant of the Cretaphid. Like the others, its base form is a tower covered with several nodes that alternate between blue and red. This time, though, it incorporates the defenses of the fist two Cretaphid models, firing lasers from its red nodes, and green plasma orbs from the blue ones. These orbs can be shot out of the air or dodged, but the presence of the laser makes dodging the orbs more difficult, and vice versa.
As with the other versions, once all the nodes are destroyed, the Cretaphid's core rises up, allowing Samus to damage it. However, the core will still shoot back. Eventually, it will descend again, and the nodes will re-energize. Once destroyed, the Octolith it was guarding becomes accessible.
