Samus uses the three Dark Temple Keys she collected in the Dark Agon Wastes to gain entrance to the Temple.
A Dark Temple Key is used in order to gain access to the temples in Dark Agon Wastes, Dark Torvus Bog, and Ing Hive across Dark Aether. They only appear in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. There are a total of 9 keys, 3 in each area, all are located in Dark Aether. They resemble floating gyroscopes with crimson jewels at their centers.
In the Wii versions of Echoes a Silver Credit will be obtained for each key acquired. This also happens in Metroid Prime when a Chozo Artifact is obtained.
Dark Temple Keys do not count toward the game's item percentage.
