De-energized Door
From Wikitroid, the Metroid wiki
De-energized doors are Doors that have no power, appearing in Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The doors are unable to function unless power is restored. This can be done by scanning a nearby trigger, using the Grapple Voltage to restore power, using the Thermal Visor and Wave Beam to spot and energize Power Conduits or eliminating an obstruction restricting power flow.
They are functionally similar to a Metal Door or Special Hatch. They also look very similar to doors that have already been shot, but do not open as a normal Door would.
