Echo Visor

The Echo Visor is one of the two visors exclusive to Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, the other one being the Dark Visor. It is found after Samus defeats Dark Samus in the Sanctuary Fortress. The Echo Visor allows Samus Aran to see sound waves, similar to echolocation. It is mostly used with the Annihilator Beam, and can open Echo Gates. It can also disturb sonic locks, making the item critical in defeating Quadraxis. It can be used to see Dark Samus 3 while she is invisible.

• There is a Luminoth body in the Agon Wastes that may have an Echo Visor of its own; when scanned, the reading says that the Luminoth was blind and deaf but had a sound-detection device that let him "see" his surroundings.
