DB Talent

dB Talent is a defunct talent agency in Austin, Texas, founded by Debora Duckett in 1979.

This studio was where Claire Hamilton and Timothy Patrick Miller recorded their lines as Gandrayda and the Female Fleet Troopers/Lab Assistant and Fleet Admiral Castor Dane, respectively, in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is possible the other actors recorded their lines here as well. Retro Studios, the developer of Corruption, is also located in Austin. Some of Hamilton's work, including a line from Corruption, was featured on the dB Talent website (29 seconds in).[1] The company is credited under special thanks in the credits of Corruption.

When Nintendo hired dB Talent to record voice work for Corruption, Duckett called Miller and asked if he was interested in playing a role. She could not tell him anything about the game until he came to the office, and he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement before he could even see the script. He recorded some of his lines, and the recordings were sent to Nintendo. A week later, he was given the role of Dane and recorded the rest of his lines at Retro Studios.[2]

On November 20, 2020, Duckett retired and closed dB Talent.[3]
