Trooper Security Station TG-MP2

Trooper Security Station

Mk VII Defense Gates (also called GF Gate Mk VII) are found in the rooms Dynamo Chamber and Trooper Security Station. They are made out of Denzium and can be destroyed by Power Bombs later in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They are activated by Interface Modules only, as opposed to the Mk VI Gate, which also requires the deactivation of locks. In the latter room, once activated the gate will repeatedly open a little and shut quickly on the ground, dealing damage to Samus. On return visits it will be locked until Samus destroys it with a Power Bomb.

In the Dynamo Chamber, Samus is required to scan a unique terminal to initiate Gate Security Protocol. It causes the gate to lift, but in an effort to lock out Splinters it lowers a gate behind Samus, which she will not be able to open until she regains Power Bombs.
