Zebbo (ゼボ zebo?) is a type of Air Hole enemy found on Zebes in Metroid, Super Metroid, and Metroid: Zero Mission.

Description[]

They have a very bee-like appearance. Zebbos infinitely spawn out of pipe-like structures, suggesting they have hives built within them.

In Metroid and Zero Mission, Zebbos can be found only in Ridley's Lair, most notably in the long corridor through the bottom of the lair. In Super Metroid, they can instead be found in Brinstar, Crateria, and Maridia. In Super Metroid, the creatures can be witnessed not only coming out of Air Holes, but also out of several Samus Eaters; this suggests that the Zebbos and Samus Eaters may have symbiotic interactions with one another.
