Zoa are a species native to Zebes.
Description[]
Zoa are considered "pipe dwelling" creatures, although they live in sandpits instead of Air Holes. They are found in the underwater oceans of Maridia. Zoa resemble small, translucent blue shrimp with green eyes, and can rapidly swim backwards in an attempt to tackle Samus Aran with their backs. Zoa typically live in sand traps and also usually attack in groups of three. Like other pipe creatures, they will endlessly respawn as long as a threat is nearby, suggesting they have hives built underground.
