The Auxiliary Lift is a room in the G.F.S. Valhalla. It appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Description[]

This room is, as the name implies, an elevator that leads to the second floor of the G.F.S. Valhalla. On the bottom floor there is a dead Federation Marine. Scanning him reveals that he was crawling toward the elevator when he was shot at point blank range. Also on the bottom floor is a panel blocking an Energy Cell Station. Samus can pull the panel off with her Grapple Lasso and place an Energy Cell inside the station. The Energy Cell will give power to the elevator and Samus can use it to reach the second floor. This elevator requires an Elevator Terminal to be used through Context Sensitive Interaction. The second floor has a Morph Ball tunnel that leads to a Missile Expansion and a door leading to the Port Observation Deck.

Development notes[]

The room's internal name is 0d_abandoned_minilift. The keyword abandoned indicates the G.F.S. Valhalla, and the alphabetic prefix 0d indicates that this is the fourth of 11 junction rooms on the G.F.S. Valhalla.

This is the only junction room on the G.F.S. Valhalla that has no clear counterpart on the G.F.S. Olympus. It may be that this room's G.F.S. Olympus counterpart is Command Lift B, as both these lift rooms connect on the lower level to the ship's respective room with turret in its internal name. Alternatively, it may be that this room's G.F.S. Olympus counterpart would have been the next room after Lab Access if not for the Stiletto-Class Fighter's crash into the starship, since both Lab Access on the G.F.S. Olympus and the upper connecting hall on the G.F.S. Valhalla have fightercrash in their internal names.
