The Perfect Drill is a Craftsmen invention seen in chapter ten of Metroid EX. The Craftsmen attach it to the top of the cross-shaped spacecraft holding Joey, Diesel and Knight for their intended execution. They also attach rockets to the bottom of the cross. Papa Lightning explains that it will allow them to get back inside the galactic ruins in order to find Samus, calling it stylish. Diesel disagrees, but Lightning sends them off anyway. It obliterates a wall in the ruins, leaving Knight and Diesel to complain about Papa Lightning's methods.
