A Portal Controller is a control panel designed to interface with Alimbic Portals, to open them. One appears in the Space Dock on the Celestial Archives and powers a Portal leading to the Docking Bay, and in turn, the second Octolith on the station. It appears as a blue computer screen and must be scanned in order to activate the Portal. However, access to the controller is blocked by a Force Field, which is powered by six Switches that are also blocked by Force Fields. To lower them, Samus is required to clear the room of Psycho Bits, and then shoot the switches. After all switches have been shot, the Force Field guarding the controller is removed, and Samus can scan it.
