Forums: Index Watercooler Games Template Vote.

Let's see if somebody reads this one.

This is a vote to decide whether or not "Metroid Dread" stays on or off this template. Armantula suggested it after a little dispute between myself and FastLizard happened. This vote will most likely end at the end of the month.

Keep It On[]

  • Like I've suggested before, I believe that it would be a good idea to create a third section under the "Prime Series" list in this template. This section would list any unreleased/canceled Metroid games in the series, (unreleased in English-speaking countries, anyway.) At the present, this hypothetical section would include Metroid 64, Metroid Dread, and Metroid Prime/Prime 2 (New Play Control!). Does that sound reasonable? • It is still a game, so keep them on!Samuslovr123:48, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
  • The template is the games template, not the confirmed-and-existing-non-conjectural-games template. Simple logic. --FastLizard4{ADMIN} (TalkContribsLogs) 07:18, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
  • It was a game and even if it was supposedly cancelled, it is still an article. I think that, based on Armantulas' idea we should make a new template, instead of adding to the existing one. Until then, this should stay here. Hellkaiserryo12 10:17, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Take It Off[]

  • I say take it off for now. It's been over 3 years and we have heard nothing at all. I say we wait until we get an "Official" announcement from Nintendo.Zabbeth 22:09, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
  • From Wikipedia: "Rumors abounded since 2005 about the development of a title called Metroid Dread, supposedly a 2D side-scroller for the Nintendo DS. In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, there is a message in the Metroid breeding zone of the Space Pirate Homeworld on a computer panel that if scanned says "Experiment status report update: Metroid project 'Dread' is nearing the final stages of completion." Developers from Retro Studios gave a full but cryptic denial of any connection with the rumored game, and Nintendo has denied they are making another 2D Metroid title at this time."Gaiacarra 10:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
