A fully powered suit is the state of being achieved near the end of each Metroid series game. As Samus Aran receives Power-ups throughout the game, this term is used to describe the point when she has collected all Beams, expansions and suit upgrades. All abilities are generally collected before (or, in some cases, during) the battle with the game's Final boss, in most games. The Legendary Power Suit that Samus receives in Metroid: Zero Mission is called the "fully powered suit". This suit differs from Samus' original Varia Suit before the Mother Brain fight in Metroid: Zero Mission, as the shoulders appear to have green lights inside of it and are larger. This is likely a result of it being an older model. These differences in Varia Suits reappear throughout the Metroid series until Metroid Fusion, as the Omega Suit does not retain these features, nor does any other version of the Fusion Suit. Interestingly, the SA-X's suit has the large shoulders, but not the green lights.
