Genesis Chamber

The Genesis Chamber is a room on Phaaze in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is arguably one of the most important rooms in the series. Here, Leviathans are grown within a serpentine womb. The womb has two weak spots that can be torn off, revealing the growing infant Leviathan within. If the infant is killed, it causes an immense explosion that destroys both the womb and the flooring below, allowing access to the Sanctum.

Jelsacs and Phazon Metroids continuously spawn here, making it difficult to concentrate solely on attacking the infant Leviathan.

Scattered around the room are husks that are "identical" (according to the scan) to Metroid Prime. They litter the room and can be seen all the way to the top of the room, out of scanning range. It is likely that Metroid Prime was waiting for one of the Leviathans to mature, and ascended with the Leviathan while they both grew.

This room shares a name with a creature called "Genesis" in Japan.
