Grizbys are sub-volcanic creatures with a spherical carapace fused together by superheated air. It has two red eyes near the anterior portion of its carapace. They live in extremely high temperatures thanks to their thermophilic nature, and their protective carapaces are strong enough to endure even the most violent attacks from predators. Grizbys largely spend their time scavenging for carrion in sub-volcanic environments.[2] Samus encounters Grizbys in two rooms in the Magmoor Caverns of Tallon IV; Burning Trail and Lake Tunnel. They do not attack her as they mind their own business, scavenging for dead animals.

Trivia

  • Interesting to note, the name Grizby is a phonetic spoonerism of Brizgee. Other than the name, though, the only similarity between these two creatures is the required use of a missile to kill them.
