Hideaki Shimizu

Hideaki Shimizu is a programmer that works for Nintendo EAD Tokyo. Shimizu has programmed numerous games from 1993 to the present, and specializes in sound effects and sound programming. His first game was Joy Mech Fight, although he was not a full-time employee of Nintendo at the time. He became a full-time programmer during the Nintendo 64 era. Shimizu was a programmer for Flipnote Studio and the Classic NES Series. With regard to the Metroid series, Shimizu was a connectivity programmer for Metroid Prime alongside Tomohiro Kawase; they programmed the Fusion Suit and Metroid rewards unlocked by connecting the game to Metroid Fusion. Shimizu was also a game designer for Metroid: Zero Mission.
