The Incinerator Drone is the third boss in Metroid Prime. It resides in the Burn Dome of the Chozo Ruins.

To defend itself, it will send a pillar of flame into the overhead War Wasp nests, releasing Barbed War Wasps. It can also attack Samus by shooting out horizontal jets of flame, which can be avoided by running or jumping over. The way to defeat the drone is to avoid its attacks. After a while, a small cylinder will pop out from its top. The small cylinder has two red glowing spots on either side of the cylinder. These are the weak points and you should not hesitate in shooting it. After you inflict enough damage to the drone it will tilt its spouts up and roast the hive above it. This will cause some angry wasps to come out and attack the threat, namely Samus. Finish off the wasps but if you take too long the drone will return to belch flame from its spouts. Even if you manage to kill the present wasps more will come out when you are avoiding the flame. Continue this process until the drone gives in and you are rewarded with the morph ball Bomb.
