An Information terminal is a computer device that displays information about various Galactic Federation topics, narrated by Aurora Unit 242. One appears in Docking Bay 4 on the G.F.S. Olympus. It features information about the Aurora Units, Phazon Enhancement Devices, the Olympus, and Norion. It is the first ingame mention of the PED, which Samus later discovers being used by Federation Marines on Norion. The terminal is required to be used in order to progress, as it is where Samus accesses her Federation login through Context-Sensitive Mode, which is then implemented into a nearby Key Code. Most of the information given by this terminal can also be found in text form in scannable Galactic Federation Data entries.

The Phazon Enhancement Device is based on captured Space Pirate technology. It is being tested by a GF Marine battalion based in the Norion system. Marines can initiate an energy siphon from the supplied Phazon carried in a backpack into their armorsuits. This allows them to temporarily enhance the exoskeletal and weapon systems of their amrorsuits. To date, no Marines have displayed signs of Phazon Sickness, common in subjects who use the Space Pirate's version of the system."

Admiral Castor Dane has commanded the vessel for the last 5 years."
