Ingworm

In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Ingworms are Darklings native to Dark Aether. They have no offensive capabilities, so the Ing use them to store items or block passages in Dark Aether. Ingworms can grow to incredible size, and with it comes incredible durability. An area blocked by giant Ingworms cannot be reached with any weapons or technology, and is therefore blocked off completely. Smaller Ingworms can also be formed around items to be used as storage containers, and can be destroyed by a charged beam.
