Jelsac

Jelsacs are aggressive, six legged Phazon based lifeforms. They slightly resemble a crab in design, with two large claws in front and its eyes fixed in the carapace. If provoked, the large balloon structure on its back will fill with a Phazon based life form. Eventually, the Jelsac explodes, spraying the poison all over.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: "Jelsacs are aggressive creatures, roaming their territory and defending it from all comers. When provoked, a Jelsac will begin to expand its body, quickly filling it with a caustic, Phazon-based venom. This continues until the Jelsac explodes, sending a spray of deadly fluid in all directions."
