Kai Martin is a software engineer, who formerly worked in the video games industry. Martin was an employee of Retro Studios and had a role in the engineering of Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. In Corruption, Martin was credited under additional thanks engineering. In August of 2006 (a year before Corruption was released), Martin left Retro Studios and shifted gears to work in the financial services industry. Currently, Martin is the vice president of development at TradeWeb, a financial services firm based in New York City. Prior to working at Retro, Martin was a software engineer for The Lord of the Rings Online when it was being developed at Sierra Online before being cancelled, and later reworked by another studio.
