Kiyohiko "Kiyo" Ando is an employee of Nintendo involved in localization. Ando was a translator and bilingual coordinator for Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Additionally, he was credited in Metroid Prime Trilogy, under NCL special thanks, and Metroid: Samus Returns and Metroid Prime Remastered under special thanks. In Samus Returns, he is credited as Kiyo Ando.

Ando was present at Retro Studios' meeting with Nintendo where their bounty hunting concept for Corruption was rejected. He explained to them that Nintendo believed Samus completed her missions out of an altruistic, "motherly" sense of duty, rather than for money.[1]

Ando has coordinated the development of many other non-Metroid games at Nintendo, including most recently, Snipperclips: Cut it out, together! in 2017. He was credited under special thanks in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
