The Klar Nebula is a scarlet-colored nebula containing the Gaflar System. This nebula is highly irregular, as it contains many small pockets of gas or dust that resemble red blood cells, along with many glowing threads of an ionized gas of some type. The molecular components of this gas cloud are uncertain, but the irregularly uniform structures (such as the "Red Blood Cell" formations) seem to suggest the possibility that this Nebula has organic properties. Organic or inorganic, the view of this nebula from inside the derelict Valhalla is quite eerie.
G.F.S. Valhalla[]
The G.F.S. Valhalla, which contained Aurora Unit 313, journeyed to the Nebula on a training mission, and it was attacked by a Space Pirate Boarding Pod. The Space Pirates stormed the vessel, and after killing all the crew members, they stole 313 and transported him to planet Phaaze. During the events of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Samus flies to the Klar Nebula to find the G.F.S. Valhalla and obtains the Leviathan Command Codes from the Boarding Pod that had struck the ship.
The Klar Nebula is never explored outside of the confines of the Valhalla.
Trivia[]
- The Klar Nebula's crimson features bear a slight resemblance to the introduction/title/main menu background of Metroid Prime.
