Local Play is a method of playing Blast Ball in Metroid Prime: Federation Force with up to six players. Each player must have a copy of the game and their own Nintendo 3DS for this to work. If some players do not have the game, they can still play with their friends via Download Play.
"Selecting Local Play will allow you to play a Blast Ball match with up to six players. Everyone must have a system and the game.

How to Play
To host a match, select Create, choose the settings, and then select OK. When all the players have joined and selected their team, press X to start the match. Players who want to join a match will need to select the name of the player who is hosting."
