Though Burger King and other fast food chains have offered Nintendo themed toys many times, the Metroid Challenge is the first Metroid themed toy from a fast-food chain. Art used as the backdrop for the maze was derived from the cover of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is a small Morph Ball maze that the player controls with a magnetic Wii Remote.
The set it is from was offered during the month of December 2008.
