The Metroid Prime: Federation Force E3 Trailer is the announcement trailer for Metroid Prime: Federation Force at E3 2015. It depicts early footage of the game against the background of a 3DS, with the Title Screen theme playing in the background. At the start of the trailer, it is made clear that the project's "Development [is] in progress".

The trailer starts by depicting the opening cutscene of M01: Outpost, where a dropship drops the Federation Force off on Excelcion. More footage is shown of M04: Containment, highlighting the game's co-op functionality - "4 Player Co-Op Missions in the Metroid Prime Universe" - M12: Last Stand (the Rohkor Beetle is called the Goliath Beetle here, and its Energy Meter is at the top of the screen, not the bottom) and M10: Black Hole (the standard Pirates are called Base Troopers here). The trailer then shows off Blast Ball. This was the first time Blast Ball was revealed to be part of a Metroid game, after being shown at the Nintendo Championships a few days before (critics noted its similarity to Metroid Prime Hunters). The release date is given as 2016 (it was first released on August 19th in North America) as the trailer ends.

Reception to the trailer, and the game was overwhelmingly negative, with many fans criticizing Nintendo's choice to release a spinoff as the first Metroid game since Metroid: Other M five years prior. As of June 5, 2017, the trailer has 1,401,869 views on YouTube, and a 10,457-89,775 like-dislike ratio.
