Metroid Prime (comic)
From Wikitroid, the Metroid wiki
Much like the Super Metroid comic, Nintendo Power also ran a series following the events of the first Metroid Prime. It deviated heavily from the game's storyline and is generally not considered canon--Thardus, for instance, was encountered in the Chozo Ruins and guarded a Chozo Artifact rather than the Spider Ball. Additionally, Zebes was claimed to have been destroyed two years prior, indicating that the comic takes place after Super Metroid, whereas the game occured beforehand. Meta Ridley, referred to simply as Ridley, lacks his trademark head-crest and is easily defeated by the Flamethrower, despite being completely immune to the weapon ingame. Samus also comes across Metroids aboard the Orpheon--scans show that they were there ingame at one point, but moved by the time the Bounty Hunter arrived.
