Moheeks are fish-like creatures in Metroid II: Return of Samus and Metroid: Samus Returns. They can be found on land or in Lava throughout SR388.
Characteristics and Behavior
The top portion of a Moheek's head greatly resembles a sea anemone. They are a non-aggressive species in Return of Samus, but can cause a high amount of damage on contact with their tendrils.[1] They behave identically to Zoomers. In Samus Returns, Moheeks are purple and more round. They have the ability to charge at Samus, which she can parry. Certain types of Moheeks are red and can generate electricity that spreads across the platform they are on.

Trivia
- The name may have originated from the "mohawk" hairstyle, as the head tendrils seem to suggest.
- It is unknown if the species became infected by the X Parasites, as Samus did not encounter any Moheek-X in Metroid Fusion.
