Normal Mode is the easiest type of difficulty in the game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is available from the start of the game along with Veteran Mode. Completing this or Veteran difficulty on the first play through of the game will unlock Hyper Mode Difficulty, which is the hardest difficulty of the game. The difference in each type is that the enemies require more shots in order to be killed, each boss's health will decrease more slowly, enemies seem to be smarter, and they have a larger chance of using Hypermode.
In the GameCube versions of Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Normal Mode was the only difficulty unlocked in the beginning of the game.
In Metroid Prime Trilogy, Veteran Mode is actually the Normal Mode which appeared in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The Normal Mode in Trilogy is actually a new, much easier, mode.
Normal Mode also appears in Metroid: Zero Mission, being harder than Easy Mode but not as hard as Hard Mode. Normal Mode is also the name of the easiest difficulty level in Metroid: Other M.
