Joey stumbles upon a penguin nest.
The penguin nest on Degrade is the hive of the Amok penguins and is located underneath the KI-1 Class Ship in Samus & Joey: Volume 2, protected by the Amok Mommy. Joey stumbles upon it and unintentionally awakens the creatures before proceeding to defend the crew with Samus as they board the functional part of the ship and leave the planet.
They resemble the egg nests in the Alien series.
