The Power Bomb Guardian is a Sporb possessed by the Ing which stole Samus's Power Bombs, which Samus can retrieve by defeating it.
[edit] Battle
The last of the Sub-Guardian bosses, Samus fights the Power Bomb Guardian in Dark Torvus. Instead of needles, it shoots Power Bombs, and it is impervious to Samus's weapons. However, it can be killed by dropping ceiling bars on it. To do this, Samus must ride Spider Ball tracks around the room and laying Morph Ball Bombs in the four Bomb Slots holding the ceiling up. This is not difficult for Samus to do, as the Spider Ball tracks are not difficult to navigate, and the Power Bomb Guardian's Power Bombs do not inflict very much damage. It does, however, tend to lead its shots, throwing Bombs where Samus is expected to be when they land instead of where she is when they are thrown. There are Light Crystals on the ground so Samus can heal, but must run between them or she will be vulnerable to its Power Bombs and the Inglets on the ground.

- Power Bomb Guardian: This darkling Sporb has absorbed the ability to generate Power Bombs. It can fire these dangerous weapons instead of the venomous needles it normally shoots. The energies of the Power Bomb weapon have made it all but invulnerable. Tremendous kinetic damage will override the protective field, however.
