Prime trilogy
From Wikitroid, the Metroid wiki
Prime is the name given to the games in the Metroid series that are First-Person perspective, as opposed to actually seeing Samus Aran on-screen during gameplay. Also, each main Prime game to date ( Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption) have featured an encounter with Phazon. The being Dark Samus, the last remnants of the titular Metroid Prime, is finally destroyed in Metroid Prime 3 for the Nintendo Wii along with all Phazon. The currently released Prime games are:
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt (Training Demo)
- Metroid Prime Hunters
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Additionally, there is a semi-retelling of the first Prime known as Metroid Prime Pinball, though this is a pinball game, and not an official part of the story. A demo for one of the games was also given out by Nintendo, the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc. It included videos, a demo of the game with a remixed room layout, and an up-to-date timeline of the games in the series.
There is also a rumor of a set of the main 3 games. [1]
This rumor was eventually proven part true. At Nintendo's Fall Press Conference in Japan it was revealed that the first two games in the Prime Trilogy were to be remade on the Wii. Whether or not this includes a box-set has yet to be seen. [2]
