Sand Processing is a room in the Agon Wastes in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

DescriptionEdit

Most of the room consists of a large Half-pipe partially filled with sand. Two "Humility" Class Turrets are positioned on either side of the northwestern end of the structure for security. The section of the wall beneath one turret contains weakened Brinstone that can be easily destroyed by a Missile, opening a route in the process. Through this Samus reaches the Main Reactor and confronts Dark Samus.

Using the Boost Ball on the half-pipe reveals a tunnel that leads to the control center, where Samus can drain the large mound of sand by scanning a terminal. Once this is done, a Missile Expansion is revealed.

The room's name, "Sand Processing", implies that sand from the Agon Wastes is processed by the Pirates for an unknown purpose.

The Dark Aether version of this room was the Hall of Stairs.
