Samus scanning a red Sight Window in Metroid Prime.
A Sight Window appears when using the Scan Visor in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Hunters. A Sight Window will be colored orange or red, and have a small, Chozo Artifact-like symbol on them, and will represent what objects can be scanned in the area. They are retained in the New Play Control! and Metroid Prime Trilogy versions of Prime despite the Scan Visor reticule undergoing an appearance change. Later games in the Prime series color the object, instead of laying a Sight Window over it.
They are only named in the manual for Metroid Prime Hunters.
