This scorpion-like creature attacks by cutting tunnels out of the rock to strike with its disk saws. It attacks and then retreats to hide in its tunnel. Like Rock Icicles, Skorps are only found in purple liquid tunnels between explorable areas.
Metroid II ManualEdit
"They come out from their holes to attack with their disk saws."
- The name "Skorp" likely derives from the word "scorpion".
- It is unknown whether or not the Skorp species became X Parasite hosts, as Samus does not encounter any Skorp-X in Metroid Fusion.
- Skorps do not appear in the remake of Return of Samus, Metroid: Samus Returns.
