Speed Running

Speed Running is the act of completing a game in the least amount of time possible. Doing so usually involves utilizing special techniques such as Wall Jumping, the use of various shortcuts, and Sequence Breaking.
Super Metroid is a game that is extremely popular to speed run. It's because the wall jump causes easy sequence breaks where the Space Jump is normally required.
Metroid games often have a hidden ending if you complete the game fast enough.
