This article is about the music track. For Samus's ship sometimes called "Star Ship", see Gunship (Return of Samus); for her other Starships, see Samus's Gunship.

Star Ship[1] is a theme in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid: Samus Returns. It is heard when Samus Aran is landing on Aether, Norion, and SR388 for the first time.

Description[]

Star Ship contains a remix of the harmony from Theme of Samus performed by strings, with a lot of emphasis on a new choir melody. It also features percussion instruments commonly heard throughout the Echoes soundtrack.

Star Ship's arrangement is slightly different across all three games. The Corruption version is nearly identical to the Echoes version, but it is shorter in length and the strings sound louder and more tense. In Samus Returns, the strings now sound even darker and more aggressive than before, fitting the nature of Samus's mission to exterminate an entire species.

In Samus Returns, the Movie Ship Landing theme leads into Star Ship. In all three games, the theme always leads into Samus Aran's Appearance Fanfare as she is stepping out of her Gunship.

The Echoes version of the theme can be heard here, the Corruption version here, and the Samus Returns version here.
