The shield is what absorbs the energy, to my understanding. The game never makes any mention of the shield that I know of besides that quote, but when you shoot at it while its shield is up it clearly absorbs your shots... As far as missiles go, I think it absorbs/deflects Super Missiles due to their power beam content, but don't regular missiles always work? I can't check as they're all dead in my file. Isn't this the Omega Pirate Absorption System? I have no idea where this name came from, however. The Elite Pirate scan calls it an "energy-siphon system". Due to the non-specific nature of that name and the fact that the Elites, Phazon Elite and Omega all use the same thing, I think we should merge the info here and from Omega Pirate Absorbtion System to Energy-siphon system. Thoughts? HellKaiserryo12[ADMIN] (TalkContribs) 22:38, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

No, the RS is the Elite variation of the OPAS. It came from the same scan naming Plasma Artillery Cannon, Wave Quake projector, Wrist Bayonet and energy-siphon system. --РoйбoйX (TalkContribsUN) 22:40, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes but they all do the same thing. We should merge them like we did Grappling Beam and Grapple Beam. HellKaiserryo12[ADMIN] (TalkContribs) 22:42, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

The Omega's are more advanced versions. Merging them would be like merging Omega itself and Phazon Elite into the main Elite page, an argument Tuckerscreator made when I suggested merging Justin Bailey with Zero Suit. --РoйбoйX (TalkContribsUN) 22:51, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

So where's this name from then? HellKaiserryo12[ADMIN] (TalkContribs) 21:07, March 17, 2011 (UTC)

"Recommended battle systems for Elite Pirates are as follows: shoulder-mounted Plasma Artillery Cannon, Repulsion Shield, Wave Quake projector, energy-siphon system, and retractable Wrist Bayonets." --РoйбoйX (TalkContribsUN) 21:12, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
