Ted Chauviere is a software engineer and programmer. Chauviere engineered the entirety of the Prime Series. It seems that Chauviere left Retro Studios after the release of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, as before the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (in which he is credited under additional thanks), Chauviere worked on non-Nintendo games including The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, God of War: Collection, Batman: Arkham Origins - Blackgate and its Deluxe Edition (developed by Armature Studio, which was founded by former Retro Studios employees), and Titanfall. In Echoes, he is credited as Ted Chauvière.

Hacking of the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc has revealed a unused Logbook entry for a Federation Marine named T. Chauviere with GFMC Task Force Herakles. The name is likely a reference to Chauviere the engineer. In the final game, the Marine's name was changed to LCPL R. Vonda, whose body goes unidentified and has no Trooper Log.
